Kaya Leigh Transcription

Kaya Leigh Transcription is an independent transcription service with one transcriptionist - Kaya. She started her transcription career in 2015 after a transcriptionist friend of hers needed help meeting a deadline. After a year or so, her friend semi-retired and started referring clients to Kaya. Her favorite subject areas are social sciences and cultural studies, but she is experienced in a wide range of topics and presentation styles. She has transcribed conferences, focus groups, and interviews in a variety of subject matters such as education, business, healthcare, and social services. One of the things she enjoys most about her work is capturing someone's insight in a new format to make it more accessible, all while also learning something new in the process.

In her spare time, she enjoys reading, listening to music, learning more about unsolved mysteries, caring for her large collection of houseplants, making fundraising toys for a local cat rescue, and watching hockey and football, specifically the Colorado Avalanche, New Jersey Devils, and her home state Baltimore Ravens.
